Configuring printing for an employee
Setting up Employee Print on a User's Profile: These instructions are based on the assumption that an Admin has installed the printer driver previously on the device. FOR PC’s Press the Windows Key + R, to open Run App Type in the following: \\printsrv01.okcu.edu\employeeprint This should find the driver and add the printer. If this is a first time installation for the printer, you’ll need to contact Campus Technology for assistance as Admin rights are required. FOR MAC’s If a network printer you want to use isn’t in the list of available printers, you can add it as an IP printer. The printer must support one of these printing protocols: AirPrint, HP Jetdirect (Socket), Line Printer Daemon (LPD), or Internet Printing Protocol (IPP). You must know the network printer’s IP address or host name, printing protocol, and model number or printer software name. That information has been provided below. Choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Printers & Scanners in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.) Click the Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax button on the right, Click the IP button Complete the fields using the following information: Address: Printsrv01.okcu.edu Protocol: Click on the arrow at the end of the field and select LPD Queue: EmployeePrint Name: Employee Print Location: OCU Use: Click on the arrow at the end of the field: Select Software > Search for 4071 > This should find the SHARP MX-4071 PPD Click Add IF the printer is not listed- please submit a ticket to have the driver installed - we can do this remotely.
