IT Support & Training
Looking for help with a technical issue, advice for an upcoming computer purchase, consultation on a technology project, request for an audio/visual setup, guidance on how to use a specific application, or any other IT needs? Campus Technology Services (CTS) strives to be your "go to" department for any and all of these needs. Here are ways we hope to provide you with the support and training you are looking for:
General Support
We provide you with several ways to reach out to our Helpdesk with your support needs or IT-related questions:
-
helpdesk.okcu.edu - The CTS support portal is always the best place to start. Find answers to common problems through an extensive knowledgebase, submit and follow up on a support issue, or provide an IT service request. This is a great way to provide CTS all the information they need to know about your IT problem or keep up with the status of your service request.
-
405-208-5555 - While the support portal is always the recommended means for requesting help, in urgent situations you can give the CTS helpdesk a call to speak directly with a technician to describe your issue and start a service ticket.
-
Tom and Brenda McDaniel University Center (room 136) - Walk-up support is available on campus during normal business hours from 8 AM to 8 PM, Monday through Friday. Summer and holiday hours my differ.
Online Course Support
If you are having issues with an online course or with the learning management system (ocuonline.okcu.edu), support is available 24-hours a day, 7-days a week:
-
405-208-5550 - Give the support center a call to speak directly with a technician who can address most issues you may be encountering.
-
onlinehelp@okcu.edu - Send an email to the support center describing in detail your problem. A support ticket will be created, and a technician will follow up with you.
Media Services Support
CTS provides media services support which covers most audio/visual (A/V) needs throughout campus, including classroom spaces, meeting rooms, and event spaces. They manage and provide support for a wide range of equipment such as projectors, screens, microphones, speakers, and much more.
-
www.myschoolbuilding.com - Requests for A/V setup must be submitted at the SchoolDude site under the "Setup Requirements: Audio/Visual" section. Requests made via phone or email will not be processed. Other key things to know about A/V requests:
- Requests should be made at least 5 business days in advance of the event. CTS reserves the right to deny any requests not submitted with this lead time.
- CTS reserves the right to deny the use of equipment in locations where safety concerns exist or where production quality cannot be guaranteed.
- CTS is unable to provide A/V equipment for off campus events.
- Event organizers must ensure that CTS has access to the event location a minimum of 1 hour before the event begins.
- CTS commits to having all equipment set up at least 30 minutes prior to the event's start time. A technician will perform an equipment check with the event organizers no less than 30 minutes before the event begins.
- Following each event, CTS may conduct a post-event assessment to evaluate the success of the A/V support provided and gather feedback on satisfaction levels.
- Student organizations will be required to fill out a Student Organization Request Form, signed by an advisor, prior to receiving any equipment setup.
-
405-208-5159 - This number can be called to report and media services related issues. Leave a detailed message and call back information if a technician does not answer.
