Do OCU Retirees or Alums keep Microsoft licenses?
Effective 08/01/2024
Microsoft has updated its licensing policy, restricting access to the desktop versions of Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) for non-employees and non-students. Although retirees and alumni were never officially entitled to these desktop apps, it is only recently that Microsoft has enforced this change.
You will still have access to the web versions of this applications just as you did previously.
- Login to https://office.com with your retiree or alum account
- Click apps launcher in the upper left corner of the screen
- Choose the app you wish to use
If you have been receiving warnings within the desktop versions of the Office applications, this change in licensing is the reason.
