Making a call using the Dial-Pad
1. From the left sidebar menu in Teams, select the Calls icon.
2. Copy and paste a number into the dial pad or type the number directly.
3. Click the Call button. The recipient will receive a call from your Teams Voice number.
Answering a call
1. When someone calls you, you'll get a notification in the corner of your screen that lets you accept or decline the call. You can answer by clicking on the phone icon on your screen.
2. Click the Phone icon to answer with audio only.
3. Click the Video icon to accept the call and enable video as well.
Forward your phone calls.
Want your calls to go to your Voice Mail or to your cell phone.
1. Navigate to Settings.
2. Under Settings, select Calls.
3. From the Calls menu, you can choose additional phones to ring or to forward all your calls to another number. You will need to add the new number the first time you use this feature. Similar options are available between Calls ring me and Forward my calls.
Turn off call forwarding.
1. If you were ringing multiple phones at the same time and no longer want to use this feature, ensure calls ring me is selected, then choose No one else from the dropdown menu to the right of “Also ring”.
Setting up Teams voicemail
- At the top right of your Teams desktop app, click the three dots next to your profile picture, then click Settings.
- In the Settings menu, click the Calls button to see all the options.
- Click the button to Configure voicemail.
- To record your own greeting, click the Record a Greeting button. Follow the prompts to record a regular greeting and an out-of-office greeting.
- Once a greeting is recorded, return to the Calls screen to further adjust voicemail settings (if needed).
